Frequently Asked Questions: registration, start of the academic year, help and support

Registration

Administrative registrations open on Monday 8 July 2024. Repeat registrations begin on Monday 1 July 2024.

Registrations are open until Wednesday 30 October 2024. Please note that this date may vary depending on the course and constituent faculties and institutes. For further information, please contact the registrar's office (service scolarité) of the institution in which you are enrolled (faculty, IUT, school, etc.).

Please contact the registrar's office (service scolarité) of the institution in which you are enrolled (faculty, IUT, school…) for your future course to report your problem. You will find the contact details of the registrar's office on the Université Paris Saclay website or in the email you received confirming your final admission.

INE stands for Identifiant National Étudiant (National Student ID number) and it is essential for all enrolments in French higher education.

For international students, a temporary INE is available at https://www.messervices.etudiant.gouv.fr/envole/  once your account has been created.

It is composed as follows:
- 10 digits + 1 letter
Or
- 9 digits + 2 letters

PLEASE NOTE: the INE number shown on the CVEC certificate is not a definitive INE number and should not be used when registering, except for international students.

Check that your Adonis account is still active:

  • Go to the Adonis page
  • Log in to your Paris-Saclay account through the "My account" tab in the top right-hand corner

Once logged in, go to "My profile" and check that:

  1. your account status is "active"
  2. ecampus is present in the list of account services ("Services" tab)

First you need to activate your Adonis account, then 1 hour later you can submit your supporting documents to pjweb.

Make sure that you respect the file size and format (.pdf/.jpg/.jpeg max) accepted by the platform and make the submission from a computer. If the problem persists, please contact support or the registrar's office of your constituent faculty or institute.

This is not critical. You can continue with your administrative registration.

Once you have completed your registration, you should send an email with your login details (surname/first name/student number) to your registrar's office to inform them of this error, which will be corrected.

This message appears when applications are closed for maintenance or in the event of a technical problem. If you get this message, please wait and try to register again later.

If you have been accepted via Parcoursup, you must have previously accepted the final proposal and no longer have a "Yes pending".

Please note: there is a delay (about a week) between the time you validate your acceptance on Parcoursup and when you can complete your registration.

If you have been accepted via eCandidat, check that you have confirmed your application in eCandidat after receiving the validation email.

Your academic attendance certificate will only be issued once your supporting documents have been validated on pjweb. It will then be available on Mon dossier web (https://mdw.universite-paris-saclay.fr).

Your student card can be collected from the registrar's office (service scolarité) of your institution or will be given to you during the first week of the new academic year (depending on your course).

To get your student card, your administrative registration file must be complete and validated by the registrar's office for your course.

  • The CVEC must be paid in a single instalment.
  • All students in full-time academic programmes at a higher education institution must pay the CVEC before registering. If a student registers for several courses in the same academic year, the contribution is only due for the first registration.

However, the CVEC contribution does not apply to certain students who do not have to provide a certificate:

  • those in continuing education
  • international exchange students in France.

Other students are exempt:

  • scholarship holders (scholarships based on social criteria managed by the Crous, scholarships paid by the regions and French government scholarships) or beneficiaries of an annual allowance granted as part of specific annual grant schemes
  • refugee students
  • students benefiting from subsidiary protection (protection granted to a foreigner who does not meet the conditions for refugee status and who proves that they are exposed to serious or life-threatening risks in their own country)
  • students registered as asylum seekers and entitled to remain in the country.

Start of the academic year

You will be sent the date and location by email by the registrar's office (service scolarité) for your course a few weeks before your course start date.

The university calendar is available on the website of the institution in which you are  enrolled (faculty, IUT, school…).
