Innovation Article published on 20 June 2024 , Updated on 26 June 2024

On 27 June 2024, the Paris-Saclay Technology Transfer Accelerator Office (SATT Paris-Saclay) will celebrate its 10th anniversary. SATT Paris-Saclay funds and supports the development of research work carried out at Université Paris-Saclay and Institut Polytechnique de Paris. The official birthday event will be an opportunity to take stock of the past decade and look ahead to the SATT’s future. With its unique operating mode, SATT Paris-Saclay’s success is linked to the quality of the relationships it has developed with the various development units within the Paris-Saclay Cluster, and the quality of the services it provides to scientists.

Université Paris-Saclay is proud to call SATT Paris-Saclay one of its loyal partners over the past ten years. A member of its Governing Board, the university works closely with SATT Paris-Saclay to support the development of research work from its laboratories and technology transfer to market. The partnership has continued to grow within the framework of the Université Paris-Saclay Innovation Cluster (PUI - Pôle universitaire d’innovation)1, of which SATT Paris-Saclay is a founding member and a key stakeholder in one of the PUI’s four main pillars: market analysis. Through market studies, this pillar ensures that technology is best aligned with societal and economic needs as soon as they first emerge.

To celebrate its anniversary, SATT Paris-Saclay is organising a party where innovation and collaboration will take centre stage! The event will get underway at 6pm with an hour of talks in the auditorium. The evening will be centred around three main themes: innovation, impact and retrospective.

At the same time, a 700 m² exhibition will showcase approximately forty researchers and start-ups who collaborate with SATT Paris-Saclay from the Université Paris-Saclay and Institut Polytechnique de Paris ecosystems, through a highly visual, interactive and educational approach. They will be spread across four villages, each dedicated to a different field of application: Biotech & Medtech, Ecological & Energy Transitions, Digital Technology, Innovation & Society. Numerous innovative projects will also be on show in each village, the majority of which have never been seen before, and all ready to tackle the major challenges of today’s and tomorrow’s world.
