Fabrice André receives the Giants of Cancer Care Award

From 31 May to 4 June 2024, the members of the American Society of Clinal Oncology (ASCO) convened for the world’s biggest annual oncology congress in Chicago, during which they awarded professor and oncologist Fabrice André with the Giants of Cancer Care award.

A medical oncologist specialised in breast cancer, professor of medicine at Université Paris-Saclay and director of the Molecular predictors and new targets in oncology laboratory (PMNCO – Univ. Paris-Saclay/Institut Gustave Roussy/Inserm), Fabrice André was awarded the Giants of Cancer Care award in the “Translational Science” category, for his work in oncology which combines basic research, clinical research, bio-informatics and biotechnology. Fabrice André currently coordinates three projects: the CANTO cohort study, RHU MyProbe and the University Hospital Institute PRISM, funded by the French government Investissements d’avenir programme. Fabrice André is also one of the world’s most highly cited researchers, according to Web of Science.

The Giants of Cancer Care award programme aims to honour and celebrate the accomplishments of leading researchers and educators whose discoveries have propelled cancer research and set the groundwork for future advancements.
