ERC Advanced Grants reserve lists: two projects from Université Paris-Saclay awarded funding

On 31 January 2025, the European Research Council announced the research projects on the 2023 reserve lists to be awarded funding. Two projects coordinated by members of the Université Paris-Saclay community will be awarded ERC Advanced grants.

Jean-François Roch, is a professor of Physics at ENS Paris-Saclay, a researcher at the Light, Materials and Interfaces Laboratory (Lumin – Univ. Paris-Saclay/CNRS/ENS Paris- Saclay/CentraleSupélec) and co-director of the research laboratory coordinated between LuMIn and Thales for the joint development of quantum sensors and laser devices. He has been awarded an ERC Advanced grant for his project: QPRESSE, Quantum Probes for High-Pressure Superconductivity.

 

Laurence Zitvogel, is a medical oncologist at Gustave Roussy and a professor of immunology at Université Paris-Saclay. As one of the world’s most highly cited researchers, she is also head of the Tumour Immunology and Anti-Cancer Immunotherapy unit (ITIC - Univ. Paris-Saclay/Inserm/Gustave Roussy). She has been awarded an ERC Advanced grant for her project: MADCAM, Microbiota-controlled trafficking of immunosuppressive intestinal T cells into cancer.
