Election of the president of Université Paris-Saclay

Camille Galap is elected president of Université Paris-Saclay

On Tuesday 11 June 2024, the Governing board of Université Paris-Saclay convened to elect the university’s new president. Camille Galap was elected by the members of the Governing board (36 voting members) president of Université Paris-Saclay (with 20 votes in favour and 5 blank votes). The term of office is four years, effective immediately.  

The institutional process will proceed in the coming weeks. In accordance with the university’s statutes and rules of procedure, the president will propose the vice presidents for the Governing Board, the Research Commission and the Education and University Life Commission.


The election process

The university’s president is elected by an absolute majority of the current members of the Governing board.

The president’s term of office is four years, and can be renewed once.

Candidates for the presidency at Université Paris-Saclay must be, regardless of their nationality, professors, researchers, lecturers, or individuals of an equivalent status.
