Mathématiques et Informatique Appliquées du Génome à l'Environnement (MaIAGE)

Laboratory presentation

MaIAGE is made up of mathematicians, computer scientists, biocomputational scientists and biologists working together in the fields from biology and agro-environment friendly solutions, from the molecular scale to the study of individual beings, populations of ecosystems. MaIAGE develops mathematical and computational methods in order to overcome specific biological issues. It also has a hand in creating databases and software allowing biologists to use tools in the right conditions, or even exploit scientific litterature automatically.

Statistical inference and dynamic modelling are some of the unit's highest expertises, to which biocomputation, automation and algorythmics can be added. The research and engineering activities are also highly intertwined with the avenues they are aimed at, such as sustainable development, molecular biology and the biology of systems.
