Physiologie et physiopathologie des rétrovirus endogènes et infectieux (RETRO-ENDO)

Présentation du laboratoire

L'unité Physiologie et pathologie moléculaires des rétrovirus endogènes et infectieux travaille sur les rétrovirus infectieux et endogènes humains. Ce laboratoire a identifié un domaine qui possède des propriétés immunosuppressives qui jouent un rôle essentiel dans la capacité de ces virus à envahir leur hôte ainsi que leur rôle dans la tumorigénèse. Les recherches portent aussi sur la capacité des cellules tumorales à échapper à la réponse immune antitumorale et la pénétration de la barrière materno-foetale du placenta des mammifères. Cette activité de recherche, à la jonction de la virologie, l'oncologie, l'immunologie et le développement permettent d'engager de nouvelles approches vaccinales et thérapeutiques, prenant en compte les propriétés des domaines identifiés.
