Laboratoire Physiopathologie et pharmacologie clinique de la douleur (LPPD)

Présentation du laboratoire

Le LPPD s'intéresse aux mécanismes d'hyperalgésie et d'allodynie chez l'homme, c'est-à-dire à des phénomènes neurologiques impliquant une douleur pathologique exacerbée. Ce thème de recherche représente un axe de santé publique majeur concernant jusqu'à 30% de la population totale.
Située sur le site du CHU Ambroise Paré à Boulogne Billancourt, l'unité a une vocation de recherche clinique et travaille en lien étroit avec un nombre important de patients présentant des douleurs pathologiques aiguës ou chroniques. En outre le réseau de cliniciens de l'unité, provenant de différents hôpitaux parisiens, lui offre une véritable richesse d'échantillons et de patients ayant permis de coordonner des essais cliniques majeurs dans le domaine.
