Practical information

 

The Graduation Ceremony for the Masters in Mathematics and Applications, class of 2024/2025 will take place on Friday, July 3th, at 2.30 pm at the Michelin Amphitheatre of the Eiffel Building of CentraleSupelec, 8 Rue Joliot Curie, 91190 Gif-sur-Yvette.

Here the address of the car park on Google Maps. For directions, please refer to the question "How do I get to the place of the ceremony."

Please note: You are invited to arrive around 1.30 pm as the ceremony is scheduled to start at 2.30 pm. If you arrive late, the organizing team cannot guarantee you access to the ceremony.


There are several ways to get to CentraleSupélec in Gif-sur-Yvette.

Please note:

  • As places in the parking lot are limited, please arrive early or use public transport.
  • There are currently many construction works on campus, which means that your journey may take longer than expected.
  • You are welcome to attend from 1.30pm. 

BY PLANE

From Orly airport (about 1 hour)

  1. Take the ORLYVAL train to Antony
  2. Take the RER B train towards "Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse", and exit at "Le Guichet"
  3. Take the bus (see access by public transport in the description below).

From Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport (about 2 hours)

  1. Take the RER B train towards "Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse",  and exit at "Le Guichet"
  2. Take the bus (see access by public transport in the description below).

BY TRAIN OR PUBLIC TRANSPORT

RER B from Paris (about 1 hour - 1 hour and a half)

  1. Take the RER B train towards "Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse", and exit at "Le Guichet"
  2. Take the 91-06 bus, and exit at "Université Paris-Saclay" or take bus n°9, and exit at "Moulon"

BY CAR

Information about registration


Registration is free but mandatory for you and your guest. This ensures that the Graduate School team can organize the event most effectively, taking into account the number of attendees for arrangements such as the cocktail party.

Each graduate is allowed to bring up to 4 guests.

Program (ceremony timeline, getting your diploma,...)

 

  • From 1.30pm: Welcome and seating in the Michelin Amphitheater
  • From 2.30 pm to about 4.30pm: Ceremony featuring speeches, graduation announcements, on-stage photos, graduate testimonials, music, etc.
  • From 4.30pm: cocktail


You can collect your diploma against signature after the ceremony finishes, from 4.30p.m.

Each institution/department (Faculty of Sciences of Orsay, ENS Paris-Salay, Université d'Evry, Université de Versailles, etc.) will have a stand where you can collect your diploma in person upon signing for it with the registrar's office.

You must bring proof of identity (passport or French identity card) to collect your diploma.


If you are unable to attend the ceremony to collect your diploma, please contact your institution's registrar's office to find out what to do.

No, there is no specific dress code; however, we expect attendees, both graduates and guests, to wear appropriate attire. Please choose clothing that is suitable for a formal event to ensure a respectful and dignified atmosphere.


On the day of the ceremony, you will be given a white scarf to wear around your neck for the group photos.
The black hat and robes are reserved for doctoral degrees.
