
Study period at Université Paris-Saclay (Exchange Programme : Erasmus+ or Bilateral agreement)
With over a hundred partner universities all over the world, Université Paris-Saclay welcomes many exchange students every year, particularly within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme to provide them a memorable international experience.
Exchange students in a constituent faculty of Université Paris-Saclay
Université Paris-Saclay is composed of 9 constituent faculties, 5 component institutions and 2 Associate Institutions. The latter have their own International Relations offices and application procedures.
Students planning to come to one of the component institutions (AgroParisTech, CentraleSupélec, ENS Paris-Saclay, IOGS) and Associate Institutions (UEVE, UVSQ) must contact the relevant international relations office.
Students planning to come to one of the following faculties: Faculty of Sciences, Polytech Paris-Saclay, Faculty of Law, Economics and Management, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Sport Sciences, IUT Cachan, IUT Orsay and IUT Sceaux must follow the instructions below.
1. In order for you to come to Université Paris-Saclay as an exchange student, your home university must have a formal agreement for student exchanges. Check with the International Office at your university to see whether there is an agreement with Université Paris-Saclay concerning your subject area.

2. Submit a pre-selection application to your university in order to be nominated by your home institution. Your university has its own procedures that must be followed.
Coming to Université Paris-Saclay for a study mobility requires a coherent academic path to ensure that the courses you take will be properly recognized upon your return. Below, you can find the list of courses available for exchange students:
You cannot choose courses from different faculties or departments due to timetable conflicts.
Rules for course selection:
- Faculty of Science: Choose courses from a single academic year and a single program. If you wish to take courses in different disciplines, you can do so within existing double-degree programs at the bachelor level. For courses in French, refer directly to the website.
- Faculty of Sports Science: Preferably choose courses from a single academic year and a single program.
- Faculty of Law, Economics, and Management: Choose courses either in Law or in Economics/Management, but you may mix different years and programs.
- Faculty of Pharmacy: You may choose courses from different years (risk of timetable conflicts).
- Faculty of Medicine: You may choose courses from different years (risk of timetable conflicts).
- Polytech Paris-Saclay: Choose courses from a single academic year and a single program.
- IUT Sceaux, IUT Orsay, IUT Cachan: Choose courses from a single academic year and a single program.
After you have been nominated for exchange studies by your home university, you will receive an email with a link to the online application form.
You can also use the application incoming portal for incoming students. Before applying you will need to create an account on the right side of the screen. This will allow you to save your data and come back later to complete your application.
Important notice: don’t use Internet Explorer as navigator. (If you do not respect this recommendation the form might be unavailable).

Online application deadline 2025/2026:
- Autumn semester (September - January) or full year: 15th May 2025
- Spring semester (January - May): 30th October 2025
Documents to be uploaded in the application form:
- Learning Agreement duly completed and signed by you and the academic in charge at your home university
- Academic transcript of records
- B2 language highly recommanded (Language certificate mandatory for the Faculty of Law, Economics and Management only)
The international office of your host faculty / department will validate and sign your Learning Agreement.
He/she will contact you if there are any changes to be made.
You will receive a letter of acceptance (approx. beginning of June) as soon as your application has been validated.
Intensive Week
The university offers an intensive French week before the semester begins in September. Two sessions are available at the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Law, Economics, and Management. These sessions are free and open to all exchange students.
Weekly Courses
During the semester, exchange students can take two-hour weekly FLE (French as a Foreign Language) courses for free, available for one semester. The courses are offered on three different campuses:
- Language Center (Eiffel building for Faculty of Science, Sports Science, IUT Orsay, Pharmacy, Polytech): 3 ECTS – More information here: https://www.sciences.universite-paris-saclay.fr/french-foreign-language
- Faculty of Law, Economics, and Management (for its students): 3 ECTS – More information here: https://www.jm.universite-paris-saclay.fr/international/venir/francais-langue-etrangere
- Faculty of Medicine (for its students): 2 ECTS.
Administrative Registration: Your host faculty will contact you for administrative registration. This step is essential to obtain your student card, activate your university email address, and access all university services (sports, library, dining, etc.).
Academic Registration: Upon arrival, you must go to your program's office to complete your academic registration (bring your learning agreement) and ensure that you are enrolled in all your chosen courses.
Academic registration in each selected course is mandatory to take exams.

Throughout the semester, cultural activities will be organized to help you explore the cultural environment around the university.
