Université Paris-Saclay and its DATAIA Institute have joined a consortium of French universities involving Mistral AI and ED Tech France. The alliance aims to deploy robust and reliable AI in institutions, respecting the European values of universalism, equal opportunities, frugality and sovereignty.
As part of the drive initiated by the International Artificial Intelligence (AI) Action Summit which took place on 10 and 11 February 2025 in Paris, 14 French universities and higher education institutions1, including Université Paris-Saclay through its AI research institute, DATAIA, are partnering with Mistral AI and EdTech France to launch an ambitious new initiative.
The collaboration will make use of Mistral AI technologies and current French EdTech start-up solutions. It will deploy reliable and innovative solutions to improve student learning experience and facilitate work for teaching and administrative staff.
The alliance is part of the mission for Artificial Intelligence launched in December 2024 by the French Ministry for Higher Education, Research and Innovation, entrusted to Frédéric Pascal, Head of the DATAIA Institute, and François Taddei, President of the Learning Planet Institute.
